It's all happening at Crestwood
MultiCultural Day
Friday august 25th saw the school celebrate its cultural diversity. It was great to see many students and staff dressing in their cultural dress. We had students performing and also some guests performed for the students. Despite the cold and rainy day the students really enjoyed themselves. We have some photos for you to view at Flickr MultiCultural Day photos
Ian Lillico
We were lucky to secure the services of Ian Lillico for our School Development Day on Monday July 28th. We had over 100 people in attendance with parents, staff from partner primary schools and staff from surrounding secondary schools attending.
Ian\'s services are in high demand across Australia. If you are interested in finding out more about Ian and his work go to: www.boysforward.com or for some recommendations on how boys learn, along with some valuable recommendations go to: www.decs.sa.gov.au/ned/files/links/Ian_Lillico_s_recommendati.doc
We are working on having Ian return to Crestwood later in the year to work with the parents one evening. As we obtain a definite date we will notify you.
Environmental Day
On August 4th, Crestwood High School entertained over 150 students from surrounding primary schools aided by 40 Year 9 students as helpers. Students from Crestwood Primary, Jasper ROad Primary and Matthew Pearce Primary were able to test water samples from our pond, went bird spotting, planted trees, were addressed bystaff from Brewongle Field Studies Centre, Baulkham Hills Shire Council and a local indigenous worker. A sausage sizzle for lunch helped hungry environmentalists. Have a look at some of the photos taken on the day at http://www.flickr.com/photos/crestwoodhighschool/sets/72157606536490643/
